Hello,
Recently I got my first Espresso machine, Ponte Vecchio Lusso
I noticed that it shipped with 1.5 pressure. I found that many people here adjusted their PVL to lower pressure.
I searched but couldn't find an image or tutorial on how to adjust the pressurestat.
Finally, after opening my PVL, I need your confirmation that this is the pressurestat in my PVL & how do I adjust it?
Thanks in advance,
Sultan

See How to adjust an espresso machine pressurestat (boiler temperature)
(Looks like you have a MaTer pressurestat, which is described in the how-to above.)

Thank you homeburrero,
and yes my pressurestat is MaTer.
I did adjusted it to 1.1 and the results are amazing. It was my first time to taste a note in an espresso
Thanks again.

The Lusso is capable of symphonies as well as sonatas. Welcome to the club. I keep my Pstat even lower, it cycles between 0.7-0.9. This makes it impossible to burn the coffee, and leaves enough steam for cappuccinos.
Some people have drilled a hole in the metal case to allow to adjust the Pstat without removing the cover. Not a bad idea for those who change coffees and roast levels frequently.

I don't like acidic espresso, in addition 1.1 is what suggested by many PVL.
It's my first espresso machine, so i'll keep changing until find my favorite.
Thanks for the advice.

Hey, congratulations! Would you share your impression of the machine fit and finish please. I've been thinking for a long time to get one, but got a bit scared of the user reports of poor factory QC.SultanMA wrote:Hello,
