I think the tolerance is high. So I went ahead and tried the bag. It was not an improvement so the question is moot. Thanks for answering though.

I do not know exactly. If you look at the artisan 6 in the first post you see that the chaff is removed from the hood above the roasting chamber. Roasting air is mixed with ambient air and travels through 6' of duct tubing before reaching the chaff bag. It is much cooled by then. The exhaust air temp post bag is reported to be about 140*, so it can't be much more than that in the bag.
