The outer frame on the Bosco machines are basically a big steel box. If you look inside one there is a lot of empty space. One could theoretically design their own housing on that machine, there is a lot of space to play with.

that bosco is a dipper? i don't see any HX or thermosyphon lines.
i do like the personality of a HX lever because i can control the preinfusion pressure based on the line pressure (maintain boiler pressure at whatever i want, while adjusting line pressure to whatever i need)
additionally, some mirage duette idro's came with thermosyphon needle valves to adjust flow at idle (make changes to idle temps)
my unit does not have this, and i don't feel the need for it. we brew very lightly roasted coffees and the brew temp with a boiler pressure of ~1.25 bars seems just right so far
electronic group flushers would have been nice though! retrofitting is a possibility, but does require a bit of faceplate modification (hole drilling)

I believe the only other new machine that has the same HX setup as the Idro is the Londinium I-P, II, and III, though i do not believe it has the needle valve. I was really hoping that Kees would make a one group Idro, but sadly I no longer see any hope that ever happening....
