I have had his book for a while now, but I just noticed where he gives start to finish details on running a sample roaster. Looks like it might translate well to small home rigs, if you have a good way to adjust gas or power settings percentage wise.
Basically setting gas for stabilized ET 410 to 420 , charging roaster, then reducing gas by 40% 30 sec before 1st crack. Then adjust ET on subsequent roasts until 9-11 minute roasts are achieved.
He says results can be surprisingly good!
I'm just assuming the development time after 1st crack is somewhere between 20-25%.

For one it is quite close to what my routine for my converted-Illy-can-on-a-electric drill roaster has become, if the wind is not too much of a factor the roasts are pretty good and even consistent between batches (approx 125g max)
