Lengthening Bezzera Strega lever handle

Hi

I find my strega lever handle to short, anyone had it modified to be longer?
I would love to get some Ideas how to do so

thanks, saw this but this is ridiculously long, surely someone changed this to a more convenient handle

Oh. Okay, I misunderstood you. The Bezzera lever's handle is just a portafilter handle. Any portafilter handle that uses an M12 bolt will fit.

I just went through a box of old portafilters and the lengths varied by an inch or so, so drop by your local shop and pick the longest ... it isn't like there are useful part numbers for these things. Or get one made, e.g., Custom Wood for your Espresso Machine

I think I will take it to a local friend here to add another 5 cm to the Lever rod itslef, how do I disconnect the handle from the rod, is it threaded to the rod and than glued?
