Anyone see voltage to ground from the boiler of a La Pavoni?
I would think this is bad, the element must be leaking. This is on a old 2 prong 70's model. Registering 60 volts to 120 on another, I have not check the amps, but one would think it should read zero. The element test for resistance but its not a megger I am using so just 2 AA's in the meter. When 110volt goes one I get leakage. I am guessing bad elements and need to get them respun. Am I missing something.

That what I figured. If they were three prong cords, they would probably trip the GFCI. I'll send them off to Gabor tomorrow to get them redone. I will make sure to replace the cords when I reinstall them.

Yes, you really do want a hard ground to the machine so AUTO will shut off the power when the element shorts to the copper sheath.
