New Swiss burrs for LIDO 2?

Grinders are one of the keys to exceptional espresso. Discuss them here.

I was wondering if Orphan Espresso is going to offer for sale the Swiss burrs set from the new Lido E. I would like to be able to swap out the more aggressive burrs from the Lido 2. Grinding light roasted beans for espresso can be very challenging.

All of their Lido grinders will come with the Swiss burrs from this point forward.

Wonder how you tell the difference. I just got one a couple weeks ago.

^^^ There's a good pic here with the inner burrs side by side. Swiss Miss is on the right in the last shot of the first post.

When you look down the top of the grinder the cuts are extremely deep, just imagine shark fins. Those are the Italian burrs The Swiss are shallow. No pun intended.

Guess I got the last of the Italian burrs which is fine with me. I have no issue turning the crank even with light roasted high grown beans.

I agree that the Italian burrs are super easy to turn. I believe much of the dismay over them was due to the friction fit of the old knob. I have installed the updated knob and it's supper easy.

Updated knob? Can you explain this to us Lido 2 novices? :)

The old knob was a friction fit and it was quite stiff. I replaced it with the new one they sell that spins freely and is held on by a screw. I've had my Lido 2 for over a year.
