The blower is used also during the roast, the roaster has an airflow controller that turns on the blower for 6 seconds every 2 minutes.
I am sure that Coffee Tech have those blowers in stock, contact them and find out...

Ben,

This is not my thread, but I own a Torrefattore. The fan is an integral part of the roaster and allows you to remove chaff during the roast as well as remove unwanted heat, should your beans exhibit 1C before their time.

As far as using the blower to cool the beans, it is not a good idea. It takes more than six minutes to cool the beans if you leave them turning in the drum. I bought my roaster in 2009, and complained to Coffee-Tech about this. They actually designed a device to cool the beans externally for the Torrefattore, but they wanted $500 for it. Try something like this picture below.
