Poll: What cold brew method do you prefer?

Coffee preparation techniques besides espresso like pourover.

Not really a poll a this point, just a request for one.

Toddy?

Drip tower?

brew over ice?

extract (ie espresso) over ice?

other?

I use a fine mesh nut milk bag (like a big teabag) with 300g of coarse ground coffee into a 169oz mason jar. Let sit 12 hours. Filtered through a Kone. A little strong, but stands up to ice.

Why do you filter through a Kone if you're already filtering with a nutsack?

That's a good question. It really isn't necessary. The Kone doesn't get much of anything. Since it's sitting still for 12 hours, most of the fines settle to the bottom. I try to be careful not to stir them up when I'm pouring into an airpot. I sacrifice the last few ounces so as not to transfer any. There is always some on the bottom of the airpot, but the siphon tube stays above it.
