From what I can gather from an Instagram Post by @ChromaticCoffee, Bellano's and Chromatic Coffee will be sponsoring a Summer Barista Smackdown on July 18th at 6:30 PM at Vero's Coffee Bar in SOFA Market (387 S 1st St Ste 126, San Jose, CA 95113) open to enthusiasts, home brewers, and baristas with prize packs and coffee cocktails offered.

It's good to see something like this in the South Bay, I attended a Prep-Fest mock-competition at San Pedro Square Market years ago at Bellano's San Jose location that was a lot of fun and since the future of regional barista competitions is unclear, it's good to see some grass roots organizing going on. I wish I could make it to this one.
