If you remove the case, you'll see that the knob/dial is actually turning a bit of a lengthy adjustment lever. You must make sure that the nut which tensions the lever against the knob, is properly tightened. Otherwise, if this has become loose, you will find that regardless of your input of fine/coarse settings the grinder will continue pumping out the same size grind.
