Is it just my imagination, or did the posting notification frequency recently change from "one notification until you reopen the thread" to "every single post in the thread all day long?" Just askin'.

Nothing has changed to my knowledge. You can edit your notifications here. If you're getting too many notifications via e-mail, turn those off and you can still follow via the Notifications dropdown in the upper right corner.
