Though my 3-year-old doesn't drink coffee, he loves to watch me make espresso and he gets to hold the "leveler" that I use for distribution (flat beer bottle opener). So for his 3rd birthday, he's entering the Linea club.
The portafilter stays on with a magnet and is easily removed. No lights or noises. Just an oven thermometer (pressure gauge) and a brew switch that makes a satisfying click.
Just like Dad!

Love it!
I let my eager 3 year old help weigh out the beans, tamp a little bit, and push the button on the timer. But something like that would be so much better!
