Is it possible you have wound the collar out as far as it will go and the screw is jammed? If so, try turning the collar CCW a little bit and see if that helps.

Will post a picture in a bit. It is definitely the screw that holds down the regulator knob. I've had the grinder for about 12 years and have cleaned it out a number of times...but somehow, now, it is absolutely stuck...

Clean off the area & heat the knob/screw with a heat gun or hair drier (on high). Once you get it hot try the screw again.

Aaah the doser dose regulator lock screw....Think that heat might indeed be a good choice, I am not sure how heat resistant the plastic of the "windows' is so I would not go overboard with heat or protect it with some alufoil or something.
