Marshall asked if I had ever tried the "Ring of Fire" from Supreme Bean. I had not, but had included it in my last order.

On their web site it is described as "Coffee Medium Caffinated Espresso" :?

Being a bit more effusive, the blend has mountains of crema that is smooth and silky.
Mocha and chocolate predominate.

Pulled as latte, ristretto, Americano and espresso varying 14-16g from ~197° to 201°F.

It's definitely on the short list.
Highly recommended.

 I prefer lighter Northern style roasts pulled at slightly lower temperatures.

Jeffrey at Supreme Bean supplied a bit more information :
We developed the blend to highlight the wide range of flavors found within the geographical area called The Ring of Fire. From the full body and deep resonance of the Indonesians to the bright acidity and fruit of the South and Central Americans, the coffees from these areas are very flexible in that a single coffee will taste great roasted several different ways.

I had noted that their descriptors were, shall we say, rather brief. Next time I mail order, I'm gonna give these guys a go. Do you think I should call to verify that I'll get it shipped to the East Coast in a reasonably short time? Shipping is a bit high but (almost) tolerable on 3 or 4 pounds.

Can't comment on shipping as we pick up.
Can comment that they are MOST obliging and orders are always ready when promised.
Seems like they roast everything regularly as whenever I've called, the blend was either roasted that day or at most the previous.
Call and ask for 1/2/3 day shipment on a Monday roast and barring war or insurrection, you should be enjoying on Tues / Weds / Thursday

I'm midway through my first pound. Chocolate and orange zest to me (especially toward the bottom of the cup). Thick mouthfeel. This will definitely go into my regular rotation.
