Some great deals were offered over in themarketplace. What did everyone end up with?

Me? I got a new knock kbox. (One of those Paul Pratt jobs with triple interchangable spares and enough room for both a week's supply of grinds and my favorite chia pet.) :)

Weekend deals

Indeed, I also got a 'Box you can't knock' - because it looked like an excellent design, and because Paul is one of the genuinely 'good guys' who has done more than his share to earn my support and admiration.

Cheers

I'm the third with a new Bumper Box on the way...

I also made a coffee order from Intelligentsia (some roasted coffee)

I picked up a QuickMill Vetrano, with Sirai p-stat. Hopefully it will arrive this week...my wife is out of town for the week, so I'll have lots of time to play.

And Yes, she approved the purchase. :-)

Somehow the 4 tampers i already have didn't seem like enough, so i took the oportunity to grab a HB tamper. I've been meaning to try counter culture coffee for a while, so i ordered some beans too, lets see if it can put a dent in the Stumptown bender I've been on since a recent trip upto Portland.

Heh...you should have stuck with the plan to buy $$$ cups and get the free grinder. :P

I grabbed a couple knockboxes and a naked portafilter. Been meaning to buy them for awhile and this celebration came out at the perfect time :) Glad I waited until the end of the month to put in my orders.

I picked up a Cimbali Junior grinder as well. Very good deal and was cheaper than what they've been going for on E-bay - new or used.

Many thanks to Chris and crew.

BTW, the wife was impressed by the good deal too. Gotta love that.

For those who missed the discounts, 1st-line was offering the La Spaziale S1 at $1599.00 via phone order this past Saturday. That's right, a 20A double-boiler for less than a Giotto Premium. Chris' Coffee offered a Cimbali Junior for $480 off - that's less than some retailer's wholesale price! EPNW had the thermofilter for $200, custom HB tamper was on the block for $35... the roasters (Caffe Fresco, Counter Culture, Intelligentsia, Paradise Roasters) also had excellent deals.

Thanks again to the sponsors for offering an extra reason to celebrate HB's birthday!

Bottomless portafilter for 32 bucks (EPNW)! How could I resist! I almost bought two. Of course that led to getting this and that - a few new cups, a medium size pitcher, etc - just what they were hoping for, I'm sure. I now have to have all my stuff shipped to work so my wife doesn't catch wind of it. LOL.

The HB sponsors have always come up with some knock your sox off deals. Think of it, I got a Cimbali grinder for $100 more than a Rocky and $100 less than a Mazzer Mini P. How on earth can you beat that? My new toy will be arriving tomorrow. I made my purchase and one hour later received shipping and tracking email from Chris. One hour from order to ship! I have spent tens of thousands on one server and not gotten customer service like that  .

So a big kudos to Dan, team HB and especially the sponsors, without whom all of this love would not be possible (or my impending divorce when the wife sees the new grinder). But hay, a guys got to do what a guys got to do.

You can't. There were several you'll-never-see-again deals over the weekend among the big ticket items. In retrospect, the 48 hour notice approach added excitement, but left little time for members to consult with their significant other. If there's a next time, a staged approach based on pricepoint would be better. Oh well, it was fun... :D

I finally threw down for a Scace device ... I have been wanting one BAD. Also took advantage of the coffee offer at Intelligentsia.

BIG THANKS to Dan and the sponsors for the variety of amazing deals! Just awesome.

I thought it would be appropriate to commemorate the HB anniversary with an HB logo tamper (red, to match my machine). Had great communication with Brian at EPNW as it will be a little while before they are in stock, but I'm in no hurry, I just had to take advantage of the deal. Thanks to Dan for the forum, and thanks to the sponsors!

There are far more people lurking in this community than many of you know. Heck, we didn't even know!

The HB Birthday bash was a tremendous success, and many folks took advantage of the deals. We sold out of both the Bumper Knock Box as well as the HB tamper. The Tamper is just a few days out and those on back order, will ship this week I believe. More Bumper product is soon to be on the way, and we were able to fulfill all of the Knock Box orders. Thanks to everyone for your support of Espressoparts.com, it is great to be INVOLVED here!

Cheers,

It was definitely fun. And 48 hours is PLENTY of time to consult

This came at the perfect time as I was looking to treat myself (with the wifey approval) and able to get an Anita, knockbox, tamper, and MM. Now I just gotta learn how to use them things

My Bumper Box has arrived!

And it is AWESOME.

:D :D :D :D THANKS EPNW!!!! :D :D :D :D

The box came with a cool carrying bag plus the extra top gasket and 2 extra bumper bars.
And the footprint is just a tad smaller than my old knockbox (but it holds a lot more).
