You read correctly, I am trying to find a U.S. based source for a robusta rich, aka European style, espresso blend in 250g sizes, preferably sealed. Something like Josuma's Malabar Gold would do the trick, but their minimums are huge. Caffee D'Arte never did much for me. And at this point, I can only find the 1kg size of the Euro-blends : Lavazza, Seafredo, Kimbo, Rotolo, Bistrot, Jolly, Esse, Danesi, etc. I know these bags exist, they are sold overseas for some of the roasters, but I can't find a U.S. source.

BTW, I mean whole BEANS! No lack of ground espressos with robusta...

Sebastian at Great Infusions sells Malabar Gold in both green and roasted form. Chuck at Coffee Wholesalers also sells it. Espresso Vivace's blends also contain some robusta.

Best,

Paradise Roasters makes a great Robusta espresso - Sitara . It is a single origin espresso bean from India. While it is neither European nor a blend, it is (in my opinion) a great robusta espresso. It is available in 14 oz bags (400 G). I have been using it for over 1 year and love it. It packs a nice caffeine punch without being harsh.

Just to reply to my own thread, I found this outfit after a lot of web searches: Espresso Tiamo: http://www.espressotiamo.com/index.php?cPath=55_32. There are 250g cans of whole bean blends, including a few 100% arabica. For those with robusta, I think the Lucaffe "Classic" wins hands down over the Caffe Molinari. The Lucaffe does have questionable packaging though.
