I wanted to refer back to a post by Mike mcKoffee, a prolific contributor to the site. It was about making Macciatos without any waste and brush up on my 3 oz steaming skills. So, I did a search on his id and came up with so many pages that the clickable links (on the bottom of the page) after the number 3 jump to the high 30's. The thread was actually on page 12. This was how I found it:
Scroll down to the bottom of the page and start by clicking on page 3, it loads,
scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on page 4 or NEXT, it loads
scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on page ...
scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on page ...

Now, I can, and did, a more advanced search that was based not only on Author name but also included "3 oz steaming". Still for the general, "I'll know it when I see it search" my 1st suggestion is could the clickable links also be put up on the top of the page which would be helpful in those situations when you know it was posted last year at some time. Also, not knowing how these things work I'll ask the stupid question, "Can an alternate condensed list be displayed that shows the thread titles without the excerpts?" Kind of like an index without somebody having to put in all that labor.

Wow, you are determined. If I don't see the result in the first couple pages, I refine the query...

To see topic titles only, select Display results as: Topics (the default is posts). By entering mike mcKoffee as the author and macchiato as the keyword, there was only three matches. Entering mike mcKoffee as the author and steaming as the keyword, there was 46 matches (two pages).

I tried it again and that helped a lot. No thoughts on the numbers on the top of the page?

New subject, I want to create a new poll. Do you need to format that or are there tools available for DIY like on the VolvoXC website?

Is the location of the pagination important if there's only two or three pages? I read from top to bottom, so it hasn't been an issue. As for polls, only moderators can create them (suggest one here).
