Hand Grinder Showdown! Pharos - LIDO - Rosco
Wow, great post Jeremy. Thanks for taking the time to do that comparison, I hope the caffeine buzz you got from all that was a suitable reward! You must be one of the only members with all these grinders so your input on their strengths and weaknesses is invaluable. It's interesting to see

LIDO as an espresso grinder?
... because as far as I can tell the Lido uses the same 38mm trespade/Lux burr set used on espresso-only grinders like the Nemox Lux or Ascaso I-2. The Nemox Lux

Is my Capresso making real espresso?
Here's the three grinders I've used at home: "Gaggia MDF" - This might be the cheapest motorized grinder you can buy new. It's a giant step up from most cheap "burr" grinders because it has actual sharp burrs. Most grinders that cost less than this new are just smashing the beans between cheap metal...

Newbie with $500 budget looking for espresso machine/grinder
Nemox Lux and Lelit pl53 look really good, actually they appear to be a lot more "serious" than Preciso The Nemox Lux at $200 certainly looks good. I do drink french press and moka coffee, I can get Nemox for espresso and the new Bodum Bistro grinder for FP and still pay about the same $$$

Newbie with $500 budget looking for espresso machine/grinder
For a grinder I would also look at the Nemox Lux or Lelit pl53 (they both use the same burrs, and are very similar in construction). The one big downside ...

Breville Smart Grinder and Breville Dual Boiler...Good combo?
... around $200-250 and you can't find anything used I'd recommend either a Nemox Lux or LeLit PL53 (both use the same small conical burrs). They don't have the industrial quality ...

Champagne taste on a beer budget...

Champagne taste on a beer budget...
Three recommendations at the $200 price point: 1. Cunill tranquillo el cafe - I probably got the words out of order - but I've owned this grinder and sold mine for $200 on craigslist. They are around, and if you are patient you may find one. 2. Rancilio Rocky. Very popular, and thought they do often...

Krups Conical Burr Grinder - 1st look
Awesome review of an interesting grinder. Thanks for all of your work. I'm currently using a Rancilio Rocky, and am unhappy with it. I've had a Super Jolly and Nemox Lux, and was most happy with the Lux. Have you had any of these grinders, and if so, how does the Krups compare?
