La Marzocco Linea Classic steam valve rebuild
Sometimes the threaded shaft of the valve is so worn that this is the cause of excessive play. Adding more washers in front of the knob won't work as you won't be able to get the cotter pin onto the shaft. Adding a thick brass washer that goes on the threaded shaft BEHIND the knob will do the trick

Current version of Redbird Espresso
I haven't had any Redbird offerings since it was sold. When Jeff owned it the coffees were amazing. The espresso and the Blue Jaguar were our go to coffees at Limestone. He also helped us mod our first roaster and got us started out roasting our own coffee. A great guy. Does anyone know if he's stil...

[SOLD] 1988 Astoria 2 group commercial lever espresso machine
I've had this machine since 2011. The restoration thread is "here" on the forums. It doesn't get much use anymore so it's time to let it go. I've always left the front panels off but I have them and all of the original parts. This one has the beautiful bell shaped groups. New springs on both groups ...

2004 Ambex YM-2 setup problems
I've had the same issue with mine. It works, but you have to wiggle the "up" button a bit to get it to start counting up to the 450 degree limit and fire up the roaster. So I assume the contacts are dirty. I've always wondered if there is a way to replace or bypass this controller since it's not

Espresso machine website legit or not?
Great company. Eureka Olympus 75e arrived in two days. As much as I like to buy local, a similarly equipped one bought here would have run $500 more. Highly recommended

Another source for coated burrs
I know a bunch of us in the past have used Pat Boyt (jpboyt) for electronics repairs and things like bad boards on Gicars. I spoke with him a few months ago regarding this and he also let me know he was now offering grinder burrs. Just before that we had purchased some red speed burrs for our K30 from
