Pasquini Livia 90 high brew pressure and valve leaking

One of my Livias hasn't reacted too well when I drop the pressure below 10 bar. Apparently a resonance has occurred between the pump's vibrations and the spring/piston in the OPV. So, I bought a Quickmill Pulsor PL0800PU and put it in, and the screeching noise disappeared and I seem to be getting be...

Pasquini Livia 90 - no water from group. Help!

Your 3way solenoid is either plugged or not working at all. Clean it or replace if that doesn't work Put a new grounded cable in before you run again, probably not affecting the 3way but certainly a matter of safety

Pasquini Livia 90 high brew pressure and valve leaking

When you remove the tee, the hose from the 3way will go on to the drip pan fitting without alterations

Pasquini Livia 90 high brew pressure and valve leaking

Here's one of my posts on the OPV recycle routing: "Livia 90 small drip tray fix" Actually, the more experience I have on this subject, the more I think that this part of the original design of the BZ90/99/L90 really missed the mark. It seems that if you are running a Livia with the OPV set at 9bar,...

Pasquini Livia 90 - no water from group. Help!

I would look at replacing or cleaning the brew switch first, as neither pump nor 3way valve activate when it is flipped. If there is no sign of severe scaling (plugged lines, pressurestat or gauge not working, loud noises when heating, etc) I wouldn't descale. There is no drain in the boiler, and it...

Pasquini Livia 90 high brew pressure and valve leaking

And I'm ashamed to admit that I have been thinking that it was the grinder..... When you consider that when the BZ90 was first developed there wasn't a lot of prior experience with "prosumer machines " , it becomes understandable that early BZ99s had a collar instead of a lock nut, which made them m...

Bezzera BZ99S - Show me under the hood

Livia 90s were essentially duplicates of the Bz99, so any pics and info on them should apply to your unit

Pasquini Livia 90 high brew pressure and valve leaking

Later models used an oring at this point under the lock nut (OR GASKET 114 VITON 7496052) Metric size 114. Since there's only cool water here a special material may not be needed. I looked up this size in the Livia parts manual found on this site under "resources". Teflon tape may work just as well
