Help with Livia 90 Giemme R.L.3 SONDE repair

As opposed to the single circuit board Gicar RL30/4ess/f 120v, the Giemme R L 3 sonde has two boards connected by a ribbon cable, which might make repairs more difficult. One of my machines had a Giemme which just quit. I have a Gicar board in there now which is working, but I wonder if I

Pasquini Livia 90 high brew pressure and valve leaking

I am usually running below 1bar when brewing because I am steaming milk at the same time. Unless I stop for some reason the pressurestat doesn't come into play. Perhaps unusual, but works for me

Pasquini - how does the valve / filter come out of the tank?

I've never had one of these apart, but the parts list seems to show that it would screw together from both sides... Pictures and description of p/n 5225401 (called a "reduction gear") show this brass piece has threads on both ends

Pasquini Livia 90 high brew pressure and valve leaking

Putting the new green "gasket" has made the machine so quiet that I can't hear it when brewing and steaming at the same time. I think that it is pretty clear that when the gasket wears down, its holder contacts the OPV body and makes some noise even though the Pulsor has dampened out a lot of the re...

Adjusting the OPV on Livia 90 and why

After adjusting to around 9 bar, I noticed a loud annoying squeal, which I later found was a similar symptom in most all of the early BZ group machines, including the Livia 90. So much of a problem that Bezzera actually put out a relatively expensive kit (Thanks, Idahopat!) to change resonance in th...

Adjusting the OPV on Livia 90 and why

The circled item is a vacuum breaker and should stop making noise once boiling is reached. Serves to vent air, if present in the boiler will fool the pressurestat into thinking the pressure is higher than actual
