Boutique Hospitality Pourover
Hi all, I'm working on a hospitality project near Los Olivos in Santa Barbara County, CA. It's a small boutique outdoorsy yet elevated 'glamping cabins' sort of experience. In the cabins, we'd like to provide a pour over setup with a plug-in gooseneck kettle, V60 style filter holder and carafe. Well...

Smallest Prosumer Espresso Machine
1000% a Decent. I have a LMLM and a Decent and I'd take the Decent all day every day. I have no use for portability, but it kicks the pants off of everything else. It's also not 'cheap' looking or feeling at all. I understand where you are coming from though as I thought the same before I got mine

Kona Peaberry ($70 bag) Brewing tips?
Does it have a roast date on it? I've had some amazing Kona, but the sad part of the majority of tourist purchases of Kona is it's from the hotel gift shop, convenience store, airport etc. where it can sit for a while. Also, what drives Kona coffee prices is mostly the high labor costs, land costs etc

Decent Espresso V1.4
yes, I think this has been addressed before. There are so many shared parts between the steam and brew that lopping off the steam would lead to almost no savings in cost or size

La Marzocco Linea Mini - New features
While I agree with the reasoning here, just a reminder to everyone that unless your water supply quality is really well monitored, you're upping the possibility of scale being trapped in the gicleur. When I discussed the swap years ago with the local LM tech he mentioned that most of the local coffe...

La Marzocco Linea Mini User Experience
I'm in S. California. Changed machines because of a move with new shallow countertop space (and no plumbing) in the only area where a machine makes sense. I grabbed a Decent which is very shallow in comparison but I still prefer the LM in terms of looks and speed once up to temp. The steam on the LM

La Marzocco Linea Mini User Experience
{image} White! 1000% They really did a great job with the finish and it cleans up with just a wipe. My past stainless machines are always full of fingerprints etc. EDIT: Hope this is allowed, but probably putting this up for sale soon if anyone's interested. The Terranova VL grinder too if there's i...

Versalab M3 alignment kit
Haha! That's hilarious. I'd love to recount my experience with VL over the past 10 years while trying to keep it positive unlike your post. Their design is brilliant, they set the standard for single dose back in the day, and I have the utmost respect for John and what he's accomplished in the audio...
