Bottomless portafilter shows only half being extracted.

Pulled grinder apart, cleaned burrs, put it back together, pulled shot: Same result. Pulled the spring out of the PF, and rotated the basket while grinding, and this helped, not perfect, but it helped. Just seems very odd that all of the sudden this is an issue. I have a 5# bag of spro on it's

Bottomless portafilter shows only half being extracted.

Always rotate while grinding, but for how easily I can do this, I might as well give it a shot. I'll pull the burrs, and see what happens

Bottomless portafilter shows only half being extracted.

So here is what I've done: I swapped the shower screen, previously using a precision screen, went back to the LM screen just to see if it made any difference. Pulled out the level, and made sure the Group Head was level - Was close, but I fine tuned it. Tried 2 different VST baskets, one 18g

Hi all, Wasn't sure where to post this, whether here or espresso machine forum, but here it goes: Background: La Marzocco GS3 - MP with Strada Mod NS Mythos grinder I recently moved, and both the LM, and Mythos were in storage/moving over the past ~2 months or so. I arrived about 2 weeks ago to

Anyone leave their La Marzocco GS3 on 24/7

I've used it because of space requirements. When I get into a new space, I plan on getting a larger accumulator - maybe 2gal or something, because at the moment I'm pulling on average 6 shots per session, and 3-4 sessions per day at home. Shouldn't be any difference in performance or anything else, ...

Listen to Foreseeablebananas - This is the best way to go about it, less stress on the system than anything else, and allows you to tie in water filtration. There should be a check valve installed between the accumulator and the pump as well. In a pinch: my current set up is literally the braided ho...

Running La Marzocco Linea two group on 110v

Keep in mind, running any sort of "unlisted" electrical component can and will nullify yours/your tenants/anyone involved insurance coverage, if something were to happen. - All of the above is capable as mentioned by Nunas, but in a commercial setting in the US, you'll get bent over hard if somethin...

Running La Marzocco Linea two group on 110v

I looked into this as well when I was running a 2Group Linea in my home. In the end I ended up putting in a 220 outlet, because I could not find a clear answer. I've read that it is possible to swap heating elements, and run smaller heating elements with less draw, but require more time to

Anyone leave their La Marzocco GS3 on 24/7

Interesting find. I am not plumbed in, but i'm pulling from a large water bottle under the machine, which has a secondary check valve. Maybe introducing that check valve is helping maintain the "weeping" from the internal one?

If the tech's at LM say its normal, I wouldn't put a huge amount of "worry" into it. On my machine, I've only seen it drop that low WHEN there was a leak, so that is the assumption I make. But, if LM says they see this all the time, maybe ask them to explain why it happens, what happens
