Any supermarket coffee beans worth getting for espresso?

I have been buying Jose's Old Havana Espresso whenever they have a Costco roadshow near me. Roast is about medium or slightly darker than medium. I can't describe the taste but it's full body comfort food kind of coffee. Their webpage describe it as: Full bodied, rich and smooth, pleasantly mild, sl...

Is this one-hole Olympia Cremina steam tip an 'improvement'

I have the steam tip that looks identical to the link in the first post. I bought it used off of another member here. Not sure if my data point is valid as I don't steam much, maybe 3-4 times a month when the mood strikes. And to be completely honest, my success rate is only about 33% among all

Dragonfly Crema Dolce - report

I got a few 12 oz bags of Creme of Dolce when they had a sale at the end of the year. As written on the bag, the roast seems to be medium light to me but I am used to the more medium to darker roasts. The taste is similar to when I had last time (maybe a year

Flash Sale from Dragonfly Coffee Roasters

Versuvius was also too dark for me as espresso but is pretty good as a pour over using the Clever Coffee Dripper. Understand that it just a good full body dark roast for me with no bitterness. I had my kettle set to 195C or so

Please help identify equivalent lever piston shaft.

Joseph, I have not disassembled my piston rod yet so I don't have much to add. The roller bearing on mine makes contacts with the slot on the both the top and bottom surfaces as far as I can tell. I am sure there is a bit of slop but I couldn't tell by probing with very thin wire. The

Measure your portafilter please?

I have the same Italcrem grouphead and the PF's seem to be original to the machine. Just throwing this out in case you find something close to this one. Measurements of the double sprout version: lug to lug: 78.7 mm lugs at: 1350 and 1950 lug thickness: ~5.7 mm tapers down to 4.5 mm at the other end
