La Cimbali M32 Bistro pulling shots with little crema

When I brought the machine to get serviced, it had both the jet and the screen. I bent the copper pipe trying to get access to the jet because I thought it was likely constricted with mineral buildup

La Cimbali M32 Bistro pulling shots with little crema

The pipe leading to the group head was replaced. I misspoke earlier. I bent the original one trying to twist open the brass nut. {image} Here is a picture from the side. Any recommendations on how to get the brass cover off (middle left of broiler) so I can adjust the temp? That thing is on there good

La Cimbali M32 Bistro pulling shots with little crema

It was a pipe to the heat exchanger I bent while trying to twist to get access to a jammed up screen filter that was all scaled up

La Cimbali M32 Bistro pulling shots with little crema

Basically, yes. I used to get a TON of crema. Now when I pour from the shot glass to the coffee mug pretty much all of it is lost stuck to the glass. I'm pulling blank shots and measuring the temp of the water with one of these: {link}

La Cimbali M32 Bistro pulling shots with little crema

Help me, home-barista forum, you're my only hope! I have an M32 Bistro and a Mazzer Super Jolly. These used to be absolute MONSTERS at pulling shots. I recently got it serviced (new heat exchanger o-rings, descaling, new filter screen, new group head gasket, even new piping!) and it just ain't what ...

La Cimbali M32 Bistro auto-frother replacement?

I have a La Cimbali M32 Bistro that has an auto-frother built in but doesn't have anything attached to it. It has a threaded slot and when I press the cappuccino or milk buttons steam does come out of the hole. I contacted EspressoParts.com to see if they had it, but they don't. Espresso Southeast a...

La Cimbali M32 Bistro not able to pull shots with 2-3 day old roast

Video to show what I mean: {video}A few notes: - What is going from the tank to the heat exchanger because my hot water spout is working just fine. - Water is going to the grouphead, but either not enough or maybe not enough pressure, as confirmed by this video. - There does seem to be a

La Cimbali M32 Bistro not able to pull shots with 2-3 day old roast

Well, it looks like I've got a major problem on my hands. I've done some more testing, pulling a manual shot without any portafilter just to see how the water comes out. Well, it doesn't. After a few seconds it is sputtering to nothing but steam and a few drops of water at a time. I'm about to recor...

La Cimbali M32 Bistro not able to pull shots with 2-3 day old roast

Well, I just bumped the grind to coarse enough to probably use in either a Chemex or Aeropress. To pull 1.75 oz of TERRIBLE shot took almost a minute. Something is definitely wrong here. I've got 2 different beans, both roasted on 3-30-11, and neither one them are getting pulled properly. I'm at a t...

La Cimbali M32 Bistro not able to pull shots with 2-3 day old roast

Yeah, I should have mentioned that it is staying at 9 bars of pressure when idle. I'm just shocked it should be so much coarser, considering I moved it over 20+ notches and it still wasn't pulling normal. I bought a double-basket from espressoparts.com that is rated for 14 grams, but I can easily fi...
