Slipped through my fingers
I saw a post on craigslist last night, a GS3 MP for $1000. I was blown away, it was my only chance to get my dream machine. It was all there. But I am pretty sure I wasn't the first to respond to it and they never responded to me. But I just wanted to tell someone about it. Oh

[SOLD] 64mm Red Speed SSP burrs, high uniformity
Bought these back in November from TigerStripes "[SOLD] 64mm Red Speed SSP burrs, high uniformity" The burrs say "Espresso Red 64mm" on the box {image} I ended up putting something like 15lbs or so on top of the existing 50lbs. Burrs worked great in my Super Jolly but I ended up upgrading my grinder...

Rancilio S24 Rebuild
I found that there is a really small limiter in my S24 rebuild (maybe you found mine) that had to be descaled because it was blocked. I would dismantle everything and descale things

What are the low-retention grinders with a fast grind speed?
I was thinking whether the Mahlkonig k30 or Mahlkonig Peak are able to achieve sub 10-second grind times. I kind of assume they do. I mostly am thinking about it since someone in my area is trying to sell a k30 that has done 4000 shots for $1250. edit: Okay according to their sheets a "single" takes...

What are the low-retention grinders with a fast grind speed?
Thanks for the replies everyone. I didn't know a lot of these grinders. The Lagom P100 seems pretty wild. I haven't heard anything about grind speed being bad. Is this something like some possible heat issue or something? I mostly imagine that a faster grinder is usually accomplished using larger bu...

What are the low-retention grinders with a fast grind speed?
I read this post "Tiny motors on new grinders?" and got to thinking about grinder again. I've had a Mazzer Super Jolly for some time now. I feel there are some little things about it like grind retention that I have to workaround that is somewhat bothersome. I built my own grind time that works fine...

Tiny motors on new grinders?
I think that ultimately the end result that I want is grind time. So the only way to do that is to potentially get them all and have them all grind the same coffee to similar espresso extraction time and see how they fair. I have actually been bothered by James Hoffmann reviews where he didn't inclu...

Tiny motors on new grinders?
Funny to see how many people talk about precision and good manufacturing to somehow imply that Ditting doesn't know what it's doing when it's making a grinder. As for me I have one a Mazzer SJ and I was very happy when I got it a decade ago. It takes about 10 seconds to grind a dose of

Making custom knobs for my Profitec 700
I always wanted custom knobs for my Profitec 700. But I bought the machine used and it had stock ones on it. Custom ones were just too steep a price for me, so I kind of thought that was that. The after a few years I randomly got access to some free slabs of 2" walnut. I figured I might
