HG-1 Prime user experience
Bought my HG-1 in 2014 and it is also still working perfectly -- grinding 6 shots every day. I soon start my 75th year and reading about the HG-1 Prime's lighter weight makes me wonder if it could become needed. Picking up the current grinder is still OK but for how long? I do not clamp

Thanks GC7. I developed my preferred roast profile years ago. It is different from yours. I go full heat from the start and do not slow down. Start the fan at 270F. I like the lightness of this profile. I did try the slowing down approach when I got my latest Hottop (#7) but

Thanks for the additional suggestions. I have started a trial of Loctite Silicon Caulk. The temperature ratings are fine but I need to see if it sticks to glass and chrome, The Gorilla Gel did not stick to the chrome

Hey everyone, most of all thanks for the serious consideration of my issue. I confess I am a bit overwhelmed with options. But in the end I realize I need to try one at a time. I did some temp readings on my machine this evening using two different instant read meat / food thermometers.

Bluesman, Loctite product data says the service range is up to 248 F. They also have an epoxy this goes up to 300 F. I think I would rather they the simpler one step Extreme. Hope my instant read food thermometer is accurate enough to give me valid reading of that spot
