Conti Prestina: temperature/pressure control

Let's try this question one more time: is there any benefit to being able to measure/read both the boiler temperature and its pressure? 1 example: my machine is PID driven, but suppose it is now turned off, so no power, but still warm. How warm? Well, the pressure gauge points to how far the reading...

Conti Prestina: temperature/pressure control

Its not my intent to sway you on temperature vs pressure, but I used a PID on my conti and I bought that and the thermocouple and ssr from Auber. My setup is on a larger twin group lever, so I was able to take advantage of an extra steam wand port on the top of the boiler.

Conti lever group questions for custom build

did you try to measure the group temperature ? Like the idle temp when your boiler is at 250 ? That measurement means little, other than it being too hot to touch. You can put a thermometer on the side of the group that shows the range of the heat across a spectrum, those can simply visually tell

Conti lever group questions for custom build

Hi there, What I have experienced is pretty much what you are describing...I have run the spectrum of machines, HX, pump, manual springs, and so on. I then stumbled onto spring levers and put together my own from parts that I acquired from fellow users here in this forum. I now have a two group cont...

Where to Source Conti 9 Bar Spring?

I found the spring in its bag - and it came from Cafeparts.com So, good luck in sourcing a new spring from them, if they have them. Dr. Gary: The strong spring starts out with more pressure, thicker flow funnel shape, and then tapers off in pressure rather dramatically. Whereas the softer spring see...

Where to Source Conti 9 Bar Spring?

I have one, in a supplier's baggie, unused. I will check if the source is shown on the wrapper. I am running two groups, one has the weak spring, the other, stronger. Its been a delight to choose and compare both sides. I'll try to remember to check on this for ya

Lever groups and their compatibility - Conti vs Victoria Arduino Athena

Today, I set about to make a dipper tube from scratch. I found a 16mm bolt, mentioned above, and it was a straightforward process of making the pipe. first, I drilled the bolt {image} I filed off the top of the bolt, giving it a good place to mate with the copper pipe. Then I

Lever groups and their compatibility - Conti vs Victoria Arduino Athena

{image} The part I am looking for is the one pictured. Its got a continuous curvature on it, like a banana. I managed to find a quality metric bolt that fit into the hole nicely, it is a M16 sized hole. My plan is to drill a hole through the shortened bolt, and solder a copper tube to

Lever groups and their compatibility - Conti vs Victoria Arduino Athena

I have received a second order attempt for the curved pipe at the rear of the lever flange. This time, I ordered an Astoria 260 part number from Espresso Parts, and the fitting on the end does not match up with the hole on the Conti lever. Its too small of a fitting for the hole size. I
