Europiccola lever resistance -- one shot vs. two
I've owned my LaPav EP for about 6 months now and I've definitely learned a lot about her. And I am convinced that this machine is a woman. She never does the same thing, the same way twice. Similar, but never the same. She requires a lot of attention and I'm not talking about getting a reasonable d...

How many double espressos do you get per pound of roasted beans?
Thanks for doing this Dan. Appreciate the forum for all the info I've learned. FWIW my (I assume all) Rocky grinder holds 1/2 pound of roasted coffee and (after dosing and tamping) I'm getting almost-exactly 12 - full, double baskets for my La Pavoni Europiccola. Now, I know the diameter (at ~50mm) ...

How many double espressos do you get per pound of roasted beans?
I searched on this in the forums but couldn't find an answer. I already know that the answer "depends" on many things. I'm just trying to ballpark an average number for planning purposes. Feel free to post your average (if known) here. Thanks, Chris M. SF, CA

Pressure gauges sourced
Does anyone here know (or how to determine) the thread "pitch" of the Europiccola? That info would of course preclude the need to walk into a hardware store without said machine in tow... Thanks, ChrisM. SF, CA

Pavoni Frothing and pressure regulation
Eureka! plugged one of the holes on my Europiccola steam wand and am now doing much, MUCH better on creating microfoam. I'm convinced they should have never put 3 holes on that thing to begin with. I am getting a wonderful swirl now. Thanks for the Toothpick solution. Chris Martin SF, CA

Pavoni Frothing and pressure regulation
Cannon, did you plug one of the holes yourself? If so, how did you do it? (Is yours reversible?) I have a La Pavoni and I am making very, very good espresso. {image} My milk work is...meh...I can get good caps but I can't do Latte art with my stuff. I use a small pitcher (maybe

Rocky Rancilio grinder, stalling of choking problems?
My Rocky grinder is less than 2 months old. I noticed that sometimes (with a hopper full of beans and in the middle of grinding) it stops grinding beans and just spins. The only way to fix it is to 1) take my finger off the momentary on/off switch, 2) turn the grinder to a very coarse setting 3) push

Need to know an espresso parts supplier
Have you tried Christopher Cara in San Francisco? He can be a bit gruff but he's very helpful if you know what you want. Good luck! Cheers, Chris Martin San Francisco
