This is next on my list to try. Thx Dave. One thing to note. I did see an improvement by not rinsing the basket out in between shots. Just wiped with damp towel. Shot much better then when I full rinsed. Bob

Thx BDL I knock out the first puck, wash under water and then dry/wipe with a paper towel before I refill. Think I was well but who knows....I will pay more attention to that. The puck for the 2nd is usually wetter/loose where the 1st is nice and dry. Bob

Leads to another question then...............does this assist in frothing/steaming milk? You folks will think I am nuts and I have trouble believing after all I have read but I can froth "fat-free" milk with no issues......small micro foam like folks describe here

With it just sitting there after the machine has warmed up and before my first shot the reading is 1.5. I am not sure what it is doing when the shot is pulled....I will watch and take note. Also, these readings are without a portafilter locked in. So if I understand you, this might be slightly high
