Chicago HB Get Together XI - Show of Hands
Initially, I came to know Vlad through greencoffeebuyingclub.com, as I am a distributor over there. For those who will be in attendance, who roast their own coffee, I'd be happy to bring some greens to save you the shipping costs. I recognize some of your names on the list of attendees for this even...

Cold water pre-wash for French press
Tom, I'm thinking you could almost replicate your experiment by simply adding the coffee and cold water into your press, and use the plunger screen to filter the coffee. Plumbing in - aesthics vs practical installation questions
The tube coming off my drip tray is about 18" long, and connects to a barbed fitting. When I want to clean my drip tray, it's as simple as reaching behind my knock box and pulling the tube off of that fitting. Why then would you say "you can't easily remove it to clean it..."? Nobody would

Plumbing in - aesthics vs practical installation questions
Part of the drain equation is where the drain tube mounts to the drip tray. On my Vivaldi, I decided to install the drain fitting about 1/2" up on the back wall of the drip tray, which leaves most of the coffee solids in the tray. This allows a 3/8" ID drain tube with no problems
