I'd say that shred was rather a shorting factor. Look at the picture, the dust has been stuffed in the area highlighted {image}

Thanks mate! I thought so too but there is only a thermal fuse there, 260C, according to its marking. This thing only dies once and as it is still alive I guess it is okay. I have checked the voltage everywhere, on the contacts, the coil, before and after the fuse, hot and cold and there are no drops.

Repairing a ULKA vibratory pump

Well, the correction: I was probably wrong. The point is that another pump in my "reference" machine is 54W while this one is 48 (different letter indexes). It pump the water slowly, but makes those 12 or more Bars. Not sure now, if I just need 9 Bar for proper brewing or 9bar and pumped promptly
