Cimbali M30 dosatron - rebuild progress.
Two small hints: 1) heat exchangers: replace them; they aren't expensive; if they can't be slipped out, cut them from inside boiler. 2) steam wand threads: they are outside of the steam (or water) path, so it's not necessary to use food safe grease; degrase them, descale if necessary, change gaskets...

Please help power a Rancilio Z11
I don't know Z11. You would check if boiler is filled with water first, then check wiring to see what circuit is connected to what phase (380V has 3 phases plus neutral), try to connect every circuit to the same phase (220V has only one). Perhaps you have connected only 1 out of 3 heaters. An electr...

Cimbali Junior Rebuild
Seen just now this restore of an old Junior. How are things going on? Two years ago I made the same; replaced pressurestat, heather, heat exchanger cartridge (was filled up with scale), security valve, vacuum valve, etc, etc. It was my first rebuilt, but I'm happy with the result

The Arrarex Caravel
I got and old Caravel few days ago, paid almost nothing, sold as broken. I'm not afraid from the state, the point is it lacks portafilter. Took a look at this thread and others, visited Orphan Espresso; it seems very hard to catch one. Does someone know where to look? Thank in advance

La Cimbali M20 repair question about switches, heater
Had someone modified the original circuit before? Perhaps trying to turn 3-phase to 1-phase. Check motor wiring; I should do the following: unwire motor and connect it to 220V with a temporary external switch, check if it runs normally (for a short time, is the pump empty?). If it don't, turn off im...

La Cimbali M20 repair question about switches, heater
About heater wiring: if you have single phase mains, connect the three elements in parallel. To be sure of leads (a pair for each element) use an ohm-meter. If you have 3 phases mains, connect each element to each phase (so the need to have red, white, black wires). In case of single phase, check wi...
