Diguo electric coffee siphon

It turns out the diguo stainless filter is a tight fit. I find it hard to get in place because it is hard to fit my hand in the top straight sided cylinder, but it does fit. And the filter works very well

Bezzera Family Lever

Too late for you now I guess but the steam and water wands on my lusso remove tip last and it looks like the bezzera may do the same. With as many curves as the bezzera wands had in them the boiler might have needed to come out first

LIDO 2 Owner Experience

The LIDO and the LIDO 2 use the same catch jar, or at least catch jar thread. The thread size is standard and discussed in some of the original LIDO threads

My eBay Elektra Microcasa a Leva - Vintage MCAL Mods and Cleaning

I would be interested in hearing Christopher Cara's method for straightening the steam wand. Have I missed this somewhere it was already posted?

Elektra Microcasa, Espressme Bottomless Portafilter, and Pressurestat [photos]

I am pretty certain that my problem is the dispersion screen is impacting the puck and rupturing it. I noticed this when I rotated the portafilter through the group and left a good portion of the coffee stuck to the dispersion screen

Elektra Microcasa, Espressme Bottomless Portafilter, and Pressurestat [photos]

DrGary, your picture of the portafilter with basket in it gave me another clue. Here is mine: {image} It has a much larger section of portafilter visible below the basket. Here is a photo of (from left to right) a 51mm Gaggia factory, the 49mm that came with the Microcasa and a 45mm ponte vecchio.

Elektra Microcasa, Espressme Bottomless Portafilter, and Pressurestat [photos]

I agree the group does look like someone modified it. I was hopeful that since it was chromed that was not the case, but evidence seems to say otherwise. I haven't used the machine enough with the stock PF to comment on channeling. I will have to find that out next

Elektra Microcasa, Espressme Bottomless Portafilter, and Pressurestat [photos]

Thanks for the fast replies. The stock portafilter does lock in fine, so that is the easy fix. I am not even really set on needing a bottomless, but the issues I was having made me think there was something to be learned. From the provided group pictures from michaelbenis and DJF there are two diffe...
