Making the last Pharos [VIDEO]

I think the Pharos is the only grinder of theirs that I never owned, but I still watched every second of this. Damned if it didn't feel like a goodbye of sorts (hope not). Wonderful people...hammer technique and all. And this last one is still in stock on their site?! Someone needs to grab it

Fuji Royal or better alternative for friend

Geez, where were you guys when I was stubbornly pushing ahead with my plan to order the 110V R-220 from Fengjen three years ago? So I could have saved myself a few hundred dollars and many months by just buying the Japanese version and running it without a transformer here? Gah. Gary, that Lucienne ...

LEGO espresso "machine"

There's a hand grinder! And a Fuji Royal R-220 look-alike. Tempting. I don't love decals on this sort of thing, but overall these look like good builds

South Florida specialty coffee shops

Update: I was finally able to drive down to Vice City's flagship Wynwood location this morning. I love it there. If I were closer, I'd definitely be a regular. Ordered a croissant and a really tasty cortado made with their own Guatemala. When I told the manager, Rachel, that I'd enjoyed the coffee a...

South Florida specialty coffee shops

Quick heads up to note that Vice City (Miami) now serve their own roasts along with the usual guest roaster line-up. I haven't been down yet to try their new coffees. Anyone?

Anyone know what happened to The Grind Coffee Project in Ft. Lauderdale?

Hi! Yoni shut it down around July 2021, and then Wells opened up their second location in that spot. I haven't spoken to Yoni for a while, but I do see him post on social media sometimes. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Are you planning a visit?

Weber Workshops "BIRD" Brewer [VIDEO]

Lance uploaded a nice BIRD demo to Instagram: {link} Does it agitate during the "French pull" phase at the end? I don't think so, but I'm not sure. I asked Lance

XBloom all-in-one coffee brewer (Kickstarter)

So, how did this prediction from a year ago fare? Not much discussion here recently, but iirc at least one moderator was a fan. What prompted me to post was one of xBloom's social media updates on an improved reusable dripper. Happy Thanksgiving!
