After my Emma post was moved to "Buying Advice," I looked through this forum and found a lot of information on the hand-powered options that have emerged over the past two or three years has. It's been a lot of fun, and man, there are so many choices!

Zassenhaus Emma reports? Other wallmount leads?
Ira, I have a Spong #2 and there a few things about it that don't suit me: 1. capacity (but a #3 would settle that, or pouring in more beans) 2. grinds retention 3. grind consistency It's going on Craigslist when I get time. I just became aware of the HG One, and

Zassenhaus Emma reports? Other wallmount leads?
Hi All, Long time, no HB! Does anyone out there have experience with the Zassenhaus Emma wall grinder? I can't find a review anywhere. Hey Portland, let's gather at Clive soon!
Hey All (and Welcome, Will!), Mark me as an interested though tentative participant whenever it may happen. Things are day to day around here, and a coffee klatsch could be just the ticket. It also might bump-start/rekindle my interest in espresso, which has faded to virtually nil of late. In part b...

Hey Portland, let's gather at Clive soon!
Hey doodz, Don't let this stop you, but Saturday the 28th may not work for me. Hosting a houseguest then who I've been ordered to accompany to the Portland Brewers Festival (I can't drink! Doctor's orders! Aghhh!), and am in the middle of a work crush. Eh, screw all that. I will try to attend if the

'New' burrs arrive dirty?
they're usually sold in sets of different sizes. Just be sure you get one that's a bit smaller than the screw. Best to read the instructions that come with it. My set is for use with an electric drill or screwdriver, but they make others to be used with a T handle. I had mine for a long

'New' burrs arrive dirty?
Also, and this has been discussed elsewhere, but, I keep a dropper bottle (the kind echinacea tincture and other stuff like that comes in) of Everclear (grain spirits, the 190? proof kind; here in Oregon I think you have to ask for it, otherwise it's the 151 Everclear they keep on the shelf) for app...
