Lelit Bianca User Experience

Hi All, I thought I would share my experience with my Bianca. The Good: - Unboxing and setup was really nice, easy, quick - The learning curve was reasonable short I think. The paddle is intuitive and easy to control the shots - Good fun playing with extractions, and you can recover as you go

Lelit Bianca - Flow Control Hardware Issues

Another one... I also just had the same problem. My machine is July 2020 manufacturing date, purchased in Sep 2020, and the photos of my broken part look identical to those already in the thread. I'm wondering why Lelit hasn't addressed this yet. If this isn't an assembly (over tightening) issue, th...

La San Marco 80 2group - gas machine

I don't have any documentation unfortunately. Figured that it would be quite uncommon, but I could not find a mention of any pre flowmeter dosing systems, so thought it was pretty cool. The workmanship on the cylinders is good. The base of the solenoid you can see on the lid is actually moulded into...

La San Marco 80 2group - gas machine

I bought the shell of an older La San Marco 80-2 that was setup for gas, but had electric pump and volumetric dosing. The weird thing is that the volumetric dosing was delivered using a hydraulic piston with switches to measure the piston displacement volume and hence the dose. Has anyone else seen ...

LMWDP Rollcall

Hi All, I have been keen for a lever machine for a while. This morning I had the first test shot from a machine I am making from parts. At the moment it resembles a pile of junk that is not quite steam tight... but who knows, maybe it wont leak in the future . At this stage it

Thermosyphon Design and Boiler Size

The plan at the moment is to have two elements heating the boiler. The first will be on all the time, the second will be connected to a PID to compensate for when cold water enters the boiler. I need to test to make sure the first element provides just enough heat to set the group and boiler in a

Thermosyphon Design and Boiler Size

Thanks for that. Do you know if this is commonly the case in a thermosyphon loop with a restrictor installed?

Thermosyphon Design and Boiler Size

Thanks for the replies, Assume I have a tight PID band and a whopping big element in a tiny boiler so that the temp is stable even after pulling a shot and injecting cold water. It seems that the problem of whether the group will be warm enough is down to the temp differential between the boiler and...

Bezzera Strega - new spring lever for home use

Bezzera Strega - new spring lever for home use

IMO it makes sense that the power usage would be roughly the same. The choice of where to install insulation would be more important for power consumption. I don't have much experience here, but it seems to me that it is a better design to a boiler attached group. Firstly, it would be cheaper to mak...
