It's hard to compare the actual espresso drink making between the two because the Pavoni is a manual drive and my Riviera a spring-loaded drive. Not slightly better. MUCH better! I have both, and the Zacconi has, by far, the most robust build quality of the two, and is one of the best-built lever machines in its price range of any on the market
