Another Linea A1 Story - Final Chapter[FAQ]
Hello Everyone: I looked at my original thread and found that it's been over a year since my last post on Another Linea A1 Story: "Another Linea A1 Story" A good portion of that year was taken solving the issue of how to finish the control box. The box itself is a laser enclosure that was in

Mazzer Super Jolly Lower Burr Carrier Height Above Grind Chamber
Would someone please measure the height above the grind chamber floor that the lower burr carrier sits above the floor of the chamber as viewed through the exit chute? I believe I need to press the rotor lower into the bottom bearing; the grinds seem to clog up in the exit chute quite easily and I

Help evaluating sound of used Mazzer Super Jolly
If you watch closely, the burrs are not moving in a perfectly circular motion; they seem a bit off center. I've often wondered about my SJ that does the same thing, and now maybe won't be so concerned. My grinder came from a ski resort after it was shelved because the doser screws came loose and sto...

Good espresso in Phoenix area?
+1 for Lux They have a custom made lever machine. It's been a while but I distinctly remember the coffee being very good. They roast their own beans as well. Very busy on the weekend. Very eclectic shop and crowd

Poor customer service or am I nitpicking?
I was going to suggest baking her head in a fine crust pastry dough and serving it as pot pie, but the bitterness of her tone would would make for an unsavory dish. This is an interesting thread that makes for good dialog. Has anyone considered that the many of the posters will, without pause, toss

Poor customer service or am I nitpicking?
My favorite response to such a brazen lack of understanding of the term "customer service" would first to check-in on Yelp with a quick tip to tell everyone to turn right around when they saw this particular clerk (she does not deserve the title of Barista) and head to any of the other coffee shops ...

Baratza Vario Setting Slippage
No kidding. The shims were so small, I thought the envelope from Baratza was empty. I think the only necessity is that the shim have some stickiness to keep it in place. Another little thing to keep in mind, the safety micro-switch (the little switch that prevents the grinder from starting if the ho...

Baratza Vario Grinder - First Look
Wasn't looking to revive this thread but I think after a few years of positive experience under its belt, the Baratza Vario is a serious contender for a grinder that performs well. And if the grinder or it's performance are not as expected, you will find that Baratza's customer service exceeds most ...
