Uben - I think all the above is "normal" for an older / used machine and most can be corrected by cleaning and re-gasketing as you indicated. To the rust question. If you can get to it, I would say you should try to gently remove it. Mine is newer (3 yo) and I haven't seen this. I do as

Vintage Europiccola - pretty, but yikes...
Good advice on the parts. As to the bolt... You might try "gently" tapping one of those "gripper" type wrenches with a small hammer. "Cummings Tool" Drilling and retapping it would be pretty tough, IMO. Ken

Sounds like the right choice to me. You are right about the quality of the coffee between the various materials. But... to me, I think my coffee tastes better because I love the looks of my brass and copper Europiccola. Yes, I know, it's all in my head but That's real too, isn't it?? As to

Hi Niklas and welcome! The main difference between the Pro and the Euro is the capacity - (16 vs 8 cup) and a boiler pressure gage on the Pro. Older Pavonis had smaller filter baskets (49 vs 52 mm). And the newer models have fewer issues with overheating (but it is still and issue you need to manage -

Adjusting temp on 'new' La Pavoni Pro
The .9 bar comes from the heat produced steam, yes. That get's the water into the group. The rest of the pressure (for the pull) comes from you. Ken
