How much coffee/espresso are you drinking everyday?
I drink about 2 cups (6oz) a day and a single espresso shot with an occasional double. Don't forget, though, caffeine is not nearly as significant on your health as the oils that stimulate cholesterol production in unfiltered coffee

My budding Illy cup collection
Hey, that is an interesting looking cup. I say you should save up for and get it a try if it is really what you want. While obviously we all have to use moderation in our purchases, I actually went on a quest to figure out which cups I would most prefer to have. The reason I did this

Breville Knock Box - $9.99
I use this knoxbox, and that is an excellent deal. The outside is a die cast stainless steel, stays clean and cleans easy. I have dropped it, no dents. The inside is massive. It would be nice if the bar could pull out, but it is padded well and hasnt done any damage to my filters, so that makes up

How to cook with coffee-inspired by Iron Chef
Well, I recorded and am currently watching an Iron Chef episode in which the primary ingredient is...COFFEE! I was really, really excited when it first appeared, but, as you may anticipate...I have been very disspointed thus far. Alton brown, who normally provides a plethera of background informatio...

My budding Illy cup collection
Now, this is one I am fairly proud of. I saw it listed on craigslist for 25 dollars, and I convinced her to ship it plus 15 bucks. She was nice enough to send 5 dollars back as well, since she didnt spend it to ship, though I kind of wish that she had packaged it better. One of the

My budding Illy cup collection
Well, in order to collect, I have to collect cheap. My first one up is my World Cup. I purchased it for way more than I should have, but it was the first official "collection cup" I bought. Though, not even the nicest of the world cup collection cups. 21 bucks for this beast. Oh yea, I am also a

Which is the most beautiful grinder?
I was not suggesting that it was the best way to go...but I think from a purely aesthetic point of view the built in, in a beautiful machine, is far more appealing than a standalone grinder. Granted, some may be less messy than others. Personally, I would take the Vario as I have no desire to make m...

Questioning my choice of Rancilio Silvia
I just recently sold my Breville 800esxl. DO NOT buy one. I, fortunately, managed to sell it for more than I bought it and kept the knockbox for myself...so I loved the purchase (at 150), but, not the shots. The problem is, simply, temperature stability and extremely high pressure. I can only tell t...

Which is the most beautiful grinder?
A built in grinder. Hands down. Grinders are ugly, messy, and dusty. Some are a little exotic initially, but after use they are all ugly
