Hi All...Happy Thanksgiving to the U.S. Folks I have been making espresso at home for about 5 years now. My current setup is a La Valentina Hx machine paired with a Ceado E6P grinder. I need a little help with my straight espresso shots. It seems like no matter how much water I run through the

Hi Guys, I have had my La Valentina for about four years now and luckily have not experienced any repair problems, until now. I first noticed a problem when the power switch light would not illuminate even though the machine was on. If I lightly depressed the button the light would appear on and if ...

La Valentina Group Gasket/Screen Falling
Almost every morning when I wake up I find my group gasket/screen on the kitchen floor. When I go to attach the gasket to the grouphead, it feels like it is not snug and take a bit of fiddling with to catch. I have attached two pictures in the hopes that someone more advanced than me can identify

I have been experimenting with different distribution techniques since I got my vario and have not settled on a

Baratza Preciso+VST=waste of time?
As the title says I have been working with my 17 gram strada basket for a month or so and cannot seem to get the results I want with my preciso. I recall a post by Chris Tacy that home users with grinders below a super jolly will be frustrated with the vst. Is the basket not a

Microfoam Consistency- Bottom portion lacking air
To provide an update: I picked up some skinny cow milk which is a fat free milk with a high protein content. After two cappuccinos it is a world of difference. Creamy silky microfoam to the final sip. The milk frothing guides should come with disclaimers warning users to start with higher fat conten...

Microfoam Consistency- Bottom portion lacking air
This same issue has now been covered in a few threads, and there is still one question that I cannot find the answer to: Is the lack of air at the "bottom" of the pitcher a symptom of not enough texturizing, or not enough stretching? In other words, if you do not stretch properly, it seems to me that
