Baratza Vario porta holder, anyone actually use it?

Sometimes I go hands-free but I must admit it's not the best way. I also get uneven mountains when doing this, but since I always do WDT is not much of a problem. If you adjust the fixing screw accordingly you can get close to a perfect alignment that will minimize the problem, but it will also depend

Ascaso Dream parts - OPV and steam wand tip

Hi, I bought an used Ascaso Dream a few days ago (before 2009 model) and I must admit I'm impressed with this little machine. It has plenty of potential but I think it needs some few mods. The two main parts I'm looking for this are: 1) Ascaso Dream UP OPV 2) Ascaso one hole steam

Is Mypressi TWIST compliant w/ air company hand luggage restrictions??

Well, As I usually travel by plane to the same places, I should buy 2 or 3 boxes of them and leave at the frequent locations (branch office, mother's home, etc). I can travel only with one cartdrige inside the machine and maybe it will pass clear. If someone ask me I will dump and loose only one

Is Mypressi TWIST compliant w/ air company hand luggage restrictions??

Hi all, I'm almost decided to buy a Mypressi TWIST, but I'd like to bring it with me in my trips. I usually trip by business and only carry a small hand bag to save time, so it's very important to me that I can go onboard with this machine without hassles. I see that it has

PID on air popper?

Jim, Got it. It doesn't seem to be very tricky and will solve my problem. I believe that this mod will improve somewhat the stock popper roast quality. I don't bother if I need to do the ramp manually, the important is the final result. No doubt it would be nice to have a "fire and forget"

PID on air popper?

So Jim, Explanations given, I should conclude that my PID model is pretty useless for this task... Anyway, if I want to perform (a little) better than with the stock popper I can use this PID and build my roast profiles by changing the target temperature manually. Is it? Leonardo

PID on air popper?

Well, Since my controller doesn't have ramp function I thought that I could put the termopar in a spot where the temperature doesn't change much, so I would be able to control the amount of heat delivered to the beans mass. So...will it work?

PID on air popper?

Allon, I have a Sestos PID, don't remember the model, but considering how much it costed I believe that it doesn't have any ramp function. Is there an intelligent way to use it, even without ramp function?
