Great job on the restoration. It's crazy how many Eurobar's are in the GTA

Pavoni Eurobar will not heat
@Colin Glad to hear you got the Eurobar back up and running. The moment I read your first post I suspected the thermal fuse. It's too bad there's no easy way to set up a resettable fuse. @Colin @Garth While I have you fellow Eurobar owners here, any quirks you've discovered working with the machine?...

Blackish boiler water after overheating - due to copper II oxide?
Thanks Márcio. I think the issue may have been that I drained it after it was hot and the element was probably still quite warm when the boiler was empty. The heat + oxygen probably led to the copper II oxide formation. I will have to be more careful to keep the heating element submerged until it

Blackish boiler water after overheating - due to copper II oxide?
I've searched the forums and gotten some snippets of information but I was hoping for a more thorough answer. I was away for a few weeks and left my machine empty. Upon filling and heating it today I ended up getting blackish water out of the tap and group and in addition I can see dark flecks float...

Where to buy older Pavoni 49mm portafilters
It's been an interesting hunt for information over the last two months about where this strange portafilter came from and unfortunately I still don't have many answers. After speaking with everyone I could possibly contact, in Canada, the US, Italy, it appears that the only way I might get my hand o...

Where to buy older Pavoni 49mm portafilters
Thanks Chris. I have explored that site but I wasn't able to find my portafilter. Can you provide a direct link? My machine was built in the 1970's and from everyone I've spoken to the portafilter/group I have is not common

LMWDP Rollcall
I've just recently completed my rebuild of a La Pavoni Eurobar A Leva. Getting the new lever arm proved to be the most difficult part of the process. I ended up having to make a custom boiler gasket but some help from Doug at OE made it an easy process once I could source the food grade gasket

Citric Acid, How Much to Use for Heavy Descaling
20% would equate to 200g in 1 litre of water. That's roughly 14 TBSPs. Vinegar, which people often use in a pinch for descaling, is 5% acetic acid. Those numbers should help you get a sense of what people are doing

Coffee inside the boiler
Hi Márcio, Yes, I have found it brown even pouring through the top of the boiler (which is a bit challenging). As I said, at first I thought I just needed to descale and rinse better but I could see little bits floating in the sight glass which I think is coffee. Since dosing less I haven't

Coffee inside the boiler
I noticed some brown water coming out of my boiler and thought it was just poor rinsing after a descale/cleaning. Upon closer inspection I found small flecks of coffee which would suggest that they were sucked back up through the dispersion screen. I think dosing lower is helpful but ultimately it's...
