Baratza Sette 270 pourover settings.

I'm having problems with what someone has referred to as "The Sludge Problem". I thought one of the promotional points of this grinder was "remarkably consistent grind size"? If You can't do a decent pour over because of too many fines (inconsistent grind size) why market this machine as an all purp...

Baratza Sette 270 pourover settings.

Anyone else using the new Baratza Sette 270 for pour over? What settings are you using and what's your experience so far? I'm brewing with a Hario V-60 with paper filters. I've had my grinder for all of 4 days and I know it's gonna be a while before I'm dialed in.....I'm going with 400 grams of wate...

Struggling to find a good yet small grinder

I have done that same thing although my Macap M4 is in storage now, I'm not sure on the height but it knocked it down considerably. You'll have to find a lid. I used the bottom of my Aeropress filter holder! I bought the M4 used from a closing coffee shop for 100 bucks

Mountain Sage Coffee near Yosemite

Jack was saying they were sourcing their coffees from Equator: {link} and the La Marzocco machine was spitting out good espresso. They also had real good locally sourced baked goods that we sampled. We were in a h...

Las Vegas trip looking for a few good cafes!

Having completed our mission in Lost Wages, Nevada we have come to the conclusion that this desert town has yet to catch up with the Bay Area coffee-wise. We did get a decent cup from Sunrise Coffee which is near the airport and a short drive from the strip: {link} they roast on site and we had a co...
