La Marzocco Linea Mini app backflush situation
Update to my situation I believe I have a plausible theory about my brew switch issue. The problem occurred again yesterday and I have noticed a couple of things. During backflush, I walked away and the flush cycle completed. The message came up on my iOS device, requiring acknowledging by pressing ...

Just discovered a cool La Marzocco Linea Mini (+Micra?) reservoir lifehack!
That does sound like a good trick. I hope I can be cognizant enough to notice the flashing blue light!

La Marzocco Linea Mini app backflush situation
I just thought I'd share an experience I had this morning with my LM. Yesterday I did the backflush procedure using the app interface. When finished, I put the machine into standby, also with the app. Later on, my significant other noticed that the barista lights were still on and asked if it really...

Barista Lights on Rancilio Silvia
As can be seen in the fourth picture, the output of the transformer is 12 volts dc at 1.5 amps. The barista lights are sold separately, so you could try it with batteries, but why would you when your Slayer is already plugged into ac? It just seems that you could seamlessly integrate the lights to s...

Barista Lights on Rancilio Silvia
I finally got around to adding barista lights to my V3 Silvia. Since my steam valve needed to be rebuilt, I just ordered the kit along with the parts since espressoparts.com was having a year end sale. As you can see in the pics, I selected placement of the two LEDs in each of the front corners. My ...

Why do we do this?
The quote that immediately came to mind was, "If you have to ask, then you wouldn't understand."

Rancilio Silvia. Intermittent heating. Where to start?
Yes, I agree with Mark. The report of leaving the temp setting on steam makes me think that the thermal conducting paste layer under the temp sensor has gotten "baked" and no longe couples the boiler with the sensor. You mentioned that you bought the machine with the PID already installed, so who kn...

What does this knob do?
I'm with you; It looks like a manual fill for the boiler. Sometimes they are a lever and the action is a pressing one, meaning that the valve shaft moves in to open the valve. Not to state the obvious, but have you pushed or pulled it?
