Weber EG-1 noises on fine grind settings

I get both of your points. As for EG-1 grinder, it would be in the comparable category of high-end planes like those private jets owned by... (you know who). I haven't heard about the problems like loose door on those jets. I guess they do a test run before shipping out each grinder... or not?

Best grinder aesthetically for KDVW Speedster

Too bad those are covered up by metal enclosure. At that price point, it should be glass enclosure

Any alternative to Behmor?

I've used Behmor for years before upgrading to ET/BT sensor roaster that allows Artisan hookup. I'll never go back to none Artisan roasting. It's that much more fun. Aliexpress has many roasters around $1K with USB connection

Help with spritzers- puck prep

I've had spritzers when WDT wasn't done or inadequate. I don't get those anymore with the same basket and dose of grinds as before. What changed was the quality of my "WDT"

Actual knockboxes

Really hard may depend on the person's baseline physical strength. A moderate tap by "one" may be equivalent to really hard tap by another

Actual knockboxes

Your basket must be the ridgeless one. In that case, you will need a cross bar and tap on the basket rim (lightly) possibly multiple times. I use ridged basket and it never comes out when I tap on the neck of portafilter
