Plumbed in La Marzocco GS/3 with Outboarded Pump

I don't think it matters much. The first page of your link says "External Pump" "Max. Dist. from Machine 8'", then "Max. Dist. from Water Supply* 4'" with the asterisk saying that it is only "suggested". Requiring max 4' between pump and machine would be super short. My Linea Classic came with a 2 m...

Decent Espresso news

Update a few hours later after turning the machine on again. During warmup, there was a small stream of water coming out of the steam wand, and a few seconds after that stopped, also some steam puffs. But once everything was up to temperature there was no more of that. So I tried activating steam ju...

Decent Espresso news

Anyone else occasionally having issues with the steam solenoid not opening? Pressure builds up but the solenoid does not open, and when I eventually abort the steam is vented out below the machine into the water reservoir. Has happened to me a few times now. First time power cycling the machine was ...

Profitec Pro 600 Steam Boiler Issue - Are relay lights supposed to quickly alternate?

That is how the PID algorithm is supposed to work and what allows it to achieve very precise temperatures. If the heating elements stayed on longer you'd end with the functional equivalent of a thermostat

Decent Espresso news

Looks like I've missed HK office hours, probably should've sent a reply earlier before going on my bike ride... I've now pulled out the fuse, but as it is the ceramic type I cannot visually tell if it has blown and do not have a multimeter at hand. Does it need to be ceramic type or does glass tube

Decent Espresso news

I did open a ticket at the same time as posting in this thread. I got an initial response pretty much immediately, then those pesky timezones probably set in and HK office hours were over. The main issue isn't that the tablet battery died, that is merely a symptom of the front USB port no longer pro...

Decent Espresso news

Bought a second hand Decent DE1PRO v1.43 about a month ago. While I love how easy the machine is to use and the results delivered in the cup, it has not been smooth sailing. As of this morning, the machine is plain dead. Tablet seems to have run out of battery sometime during the night, which was un...

Decent Espresso news

Yup. Encountered this earlier this week with my local postal service also, when international shipping was cheaper to split things up over two 2 kg parcels than to ship a single 3 kg parcel

E61 camshaft do I need to replace?

A replacement for the camshaft only. Unless perhaps there are other signs that the machine you received was not new at all, and it was not sold as being refurbished or some such terminology (and at an appropriate price for such status)

E61 camshaft do I need to replace?

Seems like poor QC from the factory to let a part with such obvious manufacturing defects slip through. Considering the age of the machine I'd absolutely ask to have it replaced under warranty
