Anyone try Blue Bottle Coffee?
I believe the reference is to Babbie's Rule* of Fifteens: -- Green (unroasted) coffee beans should be roasted within 15 months, or they go stale. -- Roasted coffee beans should be ground within 15 days, or they go stale. -- Ground coffee should be used within 15 minutes, or it goes stale. Cheers, Ja...

Anyone try Blue Bottle Coffee?

From time-to-time, yes; when there is no closer/more convenient alternative. Sometimes, I'll stop at their Oakland café after court...

Anyone try Blue Bottle Coffee?
At the San Francisco Ferry Building, they have a place INSIDE the ferry building with two different espresso machines: the main machine is a 3-group LM paddle; they also have a three-group Kees van der Westen Idracompresso lever machine. AND, outside, on Farmer's Market days they use the 3-group Ast...

Anyone try Blue Bottle Coffee?
It's the same at the downtown Berkeley Farmer's Market -- drip only, and no grinder in sight

Anyone try Blue Bottle Coffee?
Kay, Blue Bottle is beloved by some, but I'm not the biggest fan. It's certainly not bad by any means, and I will buy their beans occasionally (when I run out and haven't timed my next shipment right), but IMHO there are better roasters in the SF Bay area. Have you seen the "List of Our Favorite Roa...
